Tijuana Travel GuideTijuana , commonly known as "TJ" to Southern Californians, is a popular day trip from San Diego. Millions of Americans and tourists journey to TJ each year searching for inexpensive clothing and jewelry, a chance to place a few bets, or a cheap night out. If you plan on heading to TJ, there are a few options. For only $4 roundtrip, you can take the Trolley, and avoid having to worry about your car. You could always drive to the border and park in the American parking lot and walk across. Even though driving across the border really isn't necessary, if you choose to do so, you should consider Mexican insurance for around $20 a day. Also be advised, the trip back can be long and very congested.

Once you're in Mexico get ready to be bombarded with shady in-your-face-vendors selling food, and children running up to you with trinkets. Just keep on strolling by, and a couple of blocks past the border you'll find an assortment of shops and bars. When you adjust to the scene, peruse the stores, or check out one of the bars. If you stick around for the evening, get ready to party since the area fills with intoxicated youths. When you're ready to head back, refrain from telling jokes at the border-cross that insinuate criminal activity. Click here for hotels located Near the Tijuana Border
