San Diego Surfing

Travel Guide: San Diego Surfing Guide

San Diego Surfing is a lot of fun. Being in the water and riding a wave is an amazing experience and one worth it to take the time to master. San Diego is known for its beaches and its surf. Many of the locals participate in this sport. While most surfers are friendly there are some that get very teritorial with local breaks. It is best if you are learning to go with a surf school or to talk to people at a local surf shop to find what waves to ride. La Jolla Shores is uaually a good bet for beginners though. If you are new to surfing you can rent a board and wetsuit and even take lessons through various surf schools in Pacific Beach and La Jolla.
