The city of San Diego originated in Old Town. Back in the 1800’s it was a community of tiny little huts evolving with Mexican and Western American culture. Due to its historical importance it became recognized as a State Historic Park in 1968. Today, a number of the original homes still exist. This one time residence, theater, courthouse and general store is now open to the public for viewing.
