Legoland is a family theme park devoted to the little plastic blocks of their namesake. There are scale models of world landmarks in the park like the Las Vegas Strip and New York City's skyline. Del Mar
is located just north of San Diego "where the turf meets the surf". This track opened in 1937 and was a draw for Hollywood celebrities of that time. Racing is the main draw, but concerts and other activities are scheduled as well throughout the racing season.

Located on the Pacific Ocean North in north San Diego County, Encinitas is has the character of a small surfer beach town. The downtown area is located on the 101 and full of boutiques, cafes, and bars. If sports are your things, the beaches are full of volleyball and runners and the water is filled with surfers. The area is also home to the flower growing industry. The Ecke family is the largest grower and cultivates their famous Poinsettias in Encinitas.
