 San Diego’s north coast is comprised of charming towns like Carlsbad, Oceanside, Leucadia, Encinitas and La Costa to name a few. There are fantastic swimming and surfing beaches like Swami’s in Oceanside and Cardiff in Encinitas along with world-class golf, tennis and spas in La Costa. Accommodations vary from resorts and hotels to condos and vacation rentals to moderate and budget motels. Although Carlsbad is only 40 miles north of San Diego, the Amtrak Coaster is still makes stops in Solana Beach, Carlsbad and Oceanside.
