San Diego Marriage License

If you wish to get married in San Diego you wil need to obtain a marriage license by having both the bride and groom showing at one of San Diego County Clerk offices (listed below). You must be 18 or over and have a valid form of identification. If you are under 18 years of age you must go through the Juvenile Court System and have both a judge's and a parent's consent. Also, unlike in days of yore, a blood test is not required. Your marriage license is effective immediately when you get it and is valid for 90 days within the state of California. After the ceremony is performed, you must return the license to the clerk's office for recording. You may obtain a certified copy a week after the clerk's office recieves the completed form.
