The San Diego Archaeological Center curates and exhibits artifacts that represent 10,000 years of history of the San Diego Region. Located 1 mile from the Wild Animal Park in Escondido, the Center offers visitors archaeological themed exhibits representative of the over 23,000 archaeological sites in San Diego County. A children’s activity center allows toddlers to middle school students an opportunity for archaeological investigation and hands on learning in the research station and project tables. Admission is Free but donations are gratefully accepted. Suggested donation is $2 per person or $5 per family.
The Second Saturday of each month the Center hosts monthly archaeological themed lectures, workshops or family events – call the center for more information. |
